Old Clearing, New Clearing!

At the end of 2003 there were 440 nuclear power units operating worldwide. Together, they supply about 16% of the world’s electricity. That percentage has remained relatively steady for almost 20 years — meaning that nuclear electricity generation has grown at essentially the same rate as Total Electricity use worldwide.

Nuclear electricity generation is concentrated in developed countries. More than half of the world’s reactors are in North America and Western Europe, and fewer than 10% are situated in developing countries — which is nonetheless where this century’s greatest growth in energy demand will likely occur. In addition to Belgium and France, which I already mentioned, many developed countries generate substantial portions of their electricity from nuclear fission: including Russia, at 16%; Germany, at 30%; or Japan, at 35% By contrast, for large developing countries such as Brazil, India and China, the percentages are only 4%, 3.7% and 1.4%, respectively.

Current expansion and growth prospects for nuclear power are centered in Asia. Of the 31 units under construction worldwide, 18 are located in India, Japan, South Korea and China — including Taiwan. Twenty of the last 29 reactors to be connected to the grid are also in the Far East and South Asia. Europe does not face the dual pressures of population growth and the need for economic development that are present in some parts of Asia. With two-fifths of the world’s population, China and India are among those countries that face enormous energy demands, driven by the need to combat poverty and hunger with extremely fast economic development in last 10 years. The future of Asian Energy Consumption would be intimidating.

Nuclear power emits virtually no Greenhouse Gases. The complete nuclear power chain, from uranium mining to waste disposal, and including reactor and facility construction, emits only 2–6 grams of carbon per kilowatt-hour. This is about the same as wind and solar power, and two orders of magnitude below Coal, Oil and even Natural Gas. Worldwide, if the 440 nuclear power plants were shut down and replaced with a proportionate mix of non-nuclear sources, the result would be an increase of 600 million tons of carbon per year. That is approximately twice the total amount that we estimate will be avoided by the Kyoto Protocol in 2010, assuming Russian ratification.

What about safety and public health? The accident at Chernobyl in 1986 prompted the creation of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), and revolutionized the IAEA approach to nuclear power plant safety. For nuclear power, significant health impacts arise only from major accidents, of which there has been just one — Chernobyl — caused by serious design flaws coupled with serious operator mistakes. Chernobyl was an RBMK reactor, and there are still 15 RBMK reactors operating in Russia, plus two in Lithuania that are scheduled for closure in 2005 and 2009, according to accession agreements. Due to improvements made since 1986, none of these reactors poses the threat of Chernobyl, nor are more RBMKs being built. The result is that existing well-run nuclear power plants have become increasingly valuable assets. Although the front-loaded cost structure of a nuclear plant is high, the operating costs have become relatively low and stable.

Nonetheless, the public remains skeptical — and nuclear waste disposal will likely remain controversial, possibly until the first geological repositories are operational and the disposal technologies fully demonstrated. Plutonium is highly radioactive and has a half-life of 25,000 years (Bullen and McCormick 682). This means that plutonium takes approximately 25,000 years to decay to half of its original potency. The immediate and long-term threats of radioactivity include causing cancer or genetic damage in humans and animals; large amounts lead directly to radiation sickness and death. Also, any form of plutonium may be fashioned into a very potent nuclear weapon; this poses a threat to the safety of humanity (if this nuclear waste were to fall into the wrong hands).

After the first two nuclear bombs detonated in Hiroshima, Japan, the rates of leukemia sky rocketed in the regions while high rates of cancer were common in the region still. Oddly enough, while most people in medical fields are in self denial in believing there is a cure for cancer, the rate of cancer proliferation is similar to the rate of plutonium and uranium proliferation on earth. The earth’s lower stratum is trapping heat with excessive amount of carbon energy combined with huge amounts of radiation output and ozone depletion.

While the stockpile of nuclear-grade plutonium continues to grow as the use of nuclear energy in its various forms is proliferated, the non-proliferation regime is under growing stress. This is visible in the failed operation of the export control regime, as evidenced by the recently discovered black market of nuclear material and equipment. It is also evident in the perilous spread of fuel cycle technology.

Now the real question would be how long would it take different countries with nuclear facilities transfer nuclear technology for an expensive fee all around the world for mutual cheaper energy sharing. In the next 10 years, when Asia increases energy consumption with excessive petrol and nuclear power demands in 60% of the population on earth, the friction between West and East will become insurmountable. Which countries are allowed to have nuclear energy become world's largest debatable issues. Some of the frictions might induce economic sanctions and possible wars. Politically nobody knows who is right or wrong; scientifically although we know nuclear energy damages Global Health in long term, short term wise the profits from nuclear power plants are excellent especially when everyone is crazy about carbon dioxide emission rates.

Knocking on Woods

Where is Human Race heading by 2050? What will become of our race? Most people would shrug their shoulders with a blank look on their face! I was chatting with a good friend of mine a few days ago, she insists that she wants to have babies right now. I asked her if she is concerned about human existences and struggles in next 100 years with tremendous natural disasters and possible multiple epidemic outbreaks due to bio weapon developments on genetic tools in severe environmental stresses. She said everything on climate change is bogus. She blindly believes our current human race will be here for eons. And our next conversation immediately switched to Asian Hedge Funds with rapid cash flow rates - she commented that only economics matters in overall picture of immediate returns in Green Dollars.

Of course she didn't know that it only took human race last 50 years to destroy 60% of total environmental habitats with petrol related products, fertilizers, chemicals, and other technological advancements! It's hard to imagine the impact of another 50 years knowing how much garbage we create daily with Asian Booms which consists 60% of the entire population on current earth in next 10 years. While I was visiting The Paris Natural History Museum, I was joking about why don't they just display a pair of stuffed human bodies as well in display case as the last mammal that has just vanished on this planet. According to their bio-watch, majority of rain forests will disappear by 2050. So what will happen to Oxygen Level then on earth? With Other Groups who give brighter perspectives, they believe the rain forests would last 100 years. Either way, the future become a Big Question Mark!

Currently, Brazil contains about 3.5 million km2 of tropical forest. This is equivalent to 30% of the world's total. The rain forests absorbs huge amount of CO2 output in our current earth sphere. Without the green defense, floods and draughts will alternate with higher frequencies while CO2 will stay in the cities much longer for summer heat with dust storms.

In Indonesia, powerful families allied with government rulers control large and highly valuable timber concessions. These forests are being rapidly liquidated, at enormous profit.

In Brazil, many of the rural poor are moving to cities for work, and not finding it. Productive farmland is controlled by a wealthy elite with a long history of land ownership, and so many of the rural poor are landless. By opening its frontier – the Amazon forest - to its landless poor, Brazil seeks to provide a safety valve for what otherwise might be an explosive political situation.

In many areas, poor people have few options to make income, and forests have few protectors, and so land is cleared for agriculture and valuable timber is sold for profit.

Increasing in overall temperature of various cities also caused more frequent forest fires lately on earth sphere.

Atlas in Atlantis

I am Alpha to Omega. Alpha for souls incognito. Omega for the awakened spirits. I am nobody important - similar to a droplet of water in the ocean of conglomerated thoughts. My thoughts dance in your brain waves; you hear my echoes but shortly you bounce them back right to me with various outrageous excuses and emotional disturbances. Can you hear me? Can you hear me now? I screamed at you - the little mute who is blind with deafness. Oh, earth, where is my aching heart? I have lived in the illumination of hell descending down the nude staircases. I have chased after the devil just because there is no other way out while begging for a cure for you by offering him a price. Oh, chaos, it surrounded me with drama and fear. In the hall of mirrors, I saw your Germed soul refracted into million pieces; agony and ecstasy both are merely the thresholds of extreme flesh pain on multiple wounds. Faster, Faster, Faster, you moaned with the ugliest scars all over your body while pulling a space boat among crowds of self mutilated slaves. I saw you in distance, disfigured in contortion. Somehow, you are still alive among the sounds of battle horns and warriors standing on the handsome horse chariots. On the space deck, I am just another depressed elite Omega and you are an Alpha who simply rise to joy for any Gem that is offered to you. We are together, yet a world apart in spirit! Oh, Atlantis, my past and my future!

Earth Dissection Tool Kit

What is Earth - an electro-magnetic stardust cloud with a positive north pole and negative south pole combined with a gaseous electro-magnetic shield with a gravitational pull. Earth has pulses similar to human hearts; it's alive as a collective super consciousness or a super computer HAL as you would like to call it today. Earth's energy field is being divided into series of grids. All companion planets of earth in Milky way also have their typical electro-magnetic signatures with pulses and a collective super consciousness while traveling in various orbitals. Together, the overall variations in electro-magnetic pulses in 3D space create the illusion of time as the super duper computer. Human race's collective consciousness in inter phase is very small part of the earth's super consciousness system. We are the little blind children never obey to the rule of the Universe around us in the most probable single reality.

Fundamental Elements of Earth:
Water: Rule by Planet Mercury. Human Organ: Kidney.
Wood: Rule by Planet Jupiter. Human Organ: Liver & Gall Bladder.
Metal: Rule by Planet Venus. Human Organ: Lung & Large Intestine.
Fire: Rule by Planet Mars. Human Organ: Heart & Small Intestine. Temper: Anger.
Earth: Rule by Planet Saturn (Infinity). Human Organ: Stomach & Spleen.

Human Energy Fields

There are 7 Chakras - Energy (Chi) Center on human body with heaviest density of electro-magnetic pulses. The 7 Chakras are ruled by electro-magnetic influences of 7 planets on various organs. One inhalation and exhalation is equal to the flow of Chi from Pineal Gland (the positive pole) to Clitoris Region (the negative pole) and back to the Crown of the Head. Chi is the flowing invisible electro-magnetic fields all around the body on human energy grids. Once the flow of Chi is blocked, a human will suffer multiple organ damages around the blockage. Symptoms are later diagnosed by Western Doctors. Ultimately, emotions initiate different pattern of energy flows in body that eventually alter the genetic compositions of protein structures. After long term assaults with self destructive behaviors in 30 years, a patient would become seriously ill.

Earth's Super Grid

Similarly, earth also has numerous Chakras and major electro-magnetic energy flow centers. Near these centers, earthquakes are common in reshaping the overall condition of earth's electro-magnetic circuits between the poles. Abundance of underground volcanic motions, above ground ocean vapor circulations, together with more than 1000 electro-magnetic thunders that touch down on earth per minute with inter planetary solar electro-magnetic charges create majority of the Earth's Super Grid. Rivers along the mountain ranges that nurture all organisms also form minor electro-magnetic energy circulation patterns similar to the flow of human blood trying to nourish individual cells during each inhalation and exhalation. Earth's inhalation and exhalation also involves with a specific balance of CO with CO2 and O2 with O3 content. Serious disruption in CO2 content together with human damage to overall global grid system will block multiples of minor electro-magnetic circuits. As an autoimmune response, super storms are initiated to fix the energy flowing pattern between poles temporarily. Long period of irregularity in weather then induces major Chakras on earth to respond with more violent measures in frequent underground earthquakes. If the problem with blockage of electro magnetic flow persist, possible polar reversal might be initiated into the next ice age to reset the entire Eco structure of earth. Similar to Sun's 11 year polar reverse, Earth also has polar reverses periodically. The following picture is a super storm that try to reverse the human damage to weather from NASA.

Earth 2050 - Die Bold or Die Hard?

Population: moving from 6.6 billion to 9.4 billion by 2050. However, the British Censor claims that population will reduce to 8.3 billion by 2100. Majority of population growth will occur in Asia, Latin America, and other fast developing countries. Europe is perpetually shrinking in population size. Population aging will become a serious cost to advanced nations. Medical insurance for retired people on planet earth will become a serious burden since life expectancy has doubled since 1900 from 45 to 90. Due to shortage in human resources and competition in fast developments, it's almost impossible to avoid recurring energy consumption wars and international frictions for energy possessions.

The Condition and Trends Working Group found that over the past 50 years, humans have changed ecosystems more rapidly and extensively than in any comparable period of time in human history, largely to meet rapidly growing demands for food, fresh water, timber, fiber and fuel. This has resulted in a substantial and largely irreversible loss in the diversity of life on Earth. In addition, approximately 60% (15 out of 24) of the ecosystem services it examined are being degraded or used unsustainable, including fresh water, capture fisheries, air and water purification, and the regulation of regional and local climate, natural hazards, and pests. Are we the next species on the list to disappear as a race due to severe self inflicted environmental damages?

Heavy Water

2008
Global
oil production peaks sometime between 2008 and 2018, according to a model by one Swedish physicist. Others say this turning point, known as “Hubbert’s Peak,” won’t occur until after 2020. Once Hubbert’s Peak is reached, global oil production will begin an irreversible decline, possibly triggering a global recession, food shortages and conflict between nations over dwindling oil supplies. (doctoral dissertation of Frederik Robelius, University of Uppsala, Sweden; report by Robert Hirsch of the Science Applications International Corporation)

2020
Flash floods will very likely increase across all parts of Europe. (IPCC)
Less rainfall could reduce agriculture yields by up to 50 percent in some parts of the world. (IPCC)
World population will reach 7.6 billion people. (U.S. Census Bureau)

2030
Diarrhea-related diseases will likely increase by up to 5 percent in low-income parts of the world. (IPCC)
Up to 18 percent of the world’s coral reefs will likely be lost
as a result of climate change and other environmental stresses. In Asian coastal waters, the coral loss could reach 30 percent. (IPCC)
World population will reach 8.3 billion people. (U.S. Census Bureau)
Warming temperatures will cause
temperate glaciers on equatorial mountains in Africa to disappear. (Richard Taylor, University College London, Geophysical Research Letters:)
In developing countries, the urban population will more than double to about 4 billion people, packing more people onto a given city's land area. The urban populations of developed countries may also increase by as much as 20 percent. (World Bank: The Dynamics of Global Urban Expansion)

2040
The Arctic Sea could be
ice-free in the summer, and winter ice depth may shrink drastically. Other scientists say the region will still have summer ice up to 2060 and 2105. (Marika Holland, NCAR, Geophysical Research Letters)

2050
Small alpine glaciers will very
likely disappear completely, and large glaciers will shrink by 30 to 70 percent. Austrian scientist Roland Psenner of the University of Innsbruck says this is a conservative estimate, and the small alpine glaciers could be gone as soon as 2037. (IPCC)
In Australia, there will likely be an additional 3,200 to 5,200 heat-related deaths per year. The hardest hit will be people over the age of 65. An extra 500 to 1,000 people will die of heat-related deaths in New York City per year. In the United Kingdom, the opposite will occur, and cold-related deaths will outpace heat-related ones. (IPCC) World population reaches 9.4 billion people. (U.S. Census Bureau)
Crop yields could increase by up to 20 percent in East and Southeast Asia, while decreasing by up to 30 percent in Central and South Asia. Similar shifts in crop yields could occur on other continents. (IPCC)
As biodiversity hotspots are more threatened, a quarter of the world’s plant and vertebrate animal species
could face extinction. (Jay Malcolm, University of Toronto, Conservation Biology)

Global Water Pollution

Estimates suggest that nearly 1.5 billion people lack safe drinking water and that at least 5 million deaths per year can be attributed to waterborne diseases. With over 70 percent of the planet covered by oceans, people have long acted as if these very bodies of water could serve as a limitless dumping ground for wastes. Raw sewage, garbage, and oil spills have begun to overwhelm the diluting capabilities of the oceans, and most coastal waters are now polluted. Beaches around the world are closed regularly, often because of high amounts of bacteria from sewage disposal, and marine wildlife is beginning to suffer.

Water Born Diseases

Population Genetic Mutation and Shifts are on the rise by international water pollution and genetically engineered food resources in multiple developing countries. It is already clear that tadpoles and fish eggs start to mutate heavily in modern water resources. Fetal neurotoxic syndrome will reoccur in human fetus developments in various nations. Other water born diseases such as cholera epidemics will frequent flooding zones.

Draughts

Drought is a normal, recurring feature of the climate in most parts of the world. Having adequate drought mitigation strategies in place can greatly reduce the impact. Recurring or long-term drought can bring about desertification. Desertification is occuring rapidly in North Part of China and along the Yellow River. A sea was dried up in Russia not long ago due to mismanagement from overfishing. Recurring droughts in the Horn of Africa have created grave ecological catastrophes, prompting massive food shortages, still recurring. To the north-west of the Horn, the Darfur conflict
